The heavy duty air hammer is an excellent
tool for high speed coil stripping. The air hammer features
a universal spring retainer. The operator can easily rotate
the cutting tool while operating the hammer. The hammer may
also be used for cutting panels, rivets, bolts, removing
drum lids, and setting 1/4" soft iron and aluminum rivets.
Delivers 3,500 blows per minute and uses only 4 cubic feet
of air per minute at 80 to 150 PSI.

Chiseling tips for coil
stripping chisels
- Always position the
chisel parallel with laminations, otherwise you may blunt
the cutting end or gouge the laminations.
- Try not to hit the stator
housing after cutting the last wires or you may break or
damage the cutting end.
- When using an air hammer,
don't press the trigger unless the chisel is pressing
against the coil. Otherwise you could break the chisel
shank. Properly used shanks should never break.

Never mark a chisel by grinding groves in the shank as this
weakens it and may cause breakage. Use a stick-on label for
marking.

Oil every day before use with air tool or equivalent.

Crown chisels strip coils
in 1/3 the time: The crown chisels have many
practical designed-in features that speed the work. The
crescent shaped cutting edge fits coils perfectly and cut
wires as a unit. Special cutting edge, located above the
lower blade surface, can't gouge stator laminations when
properly placed. The protected cutting edge far outlasts
ordinary chisel edges and cannot hit stators, cutting only
Copper. Crescent design cuts wires as a unit, smooth and
clean. Rounded surfaces prevent cutting of edge protectors
and gouging of stators. |
